'Avatar 2' to be Filmed Underwater by James Cameron

James Cameron is traveling to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean for Avatar 2. Mark Millar's new superhero movie is X-Men meets Trainspotting. Plus promos and news for Fringe, Chuck, Warehouse 13, Stargate Universe, and more! Spoilers to the end!
Filmmaker James Cameron seems to have two passions in his life -- making films and exploring the depths of the ocean. He merged those two loves back in 2005, when he directed a documentary entitled 'Aliens of the Deep,' but he's set to take things to another level with his plans for 'Avatar 2.'
Cameron has commissioned a team of Australian engineers to design and build a submersible vessel capable of taking him to the floor of the Challenger Deep -- the deepest location on Earth. To put that in perspective, the location Cameron wants to get to -- and film in 3D at -- is almost 36,000 feet deep. That's nearly a mile deeper than Mount Everest is tall ...

Plot details about the sequel to the mega-blockbuster aren't being revealed, but we do know that Cameron intends to spend time exploring Pandora's vast oceans in the follow-up. If all goes well, he may incorporate the Challenger Deep footage into 'Avatar 2.'
There are many challenges to pulling this off, however. Pressure at that depth is more than eight tonnes per square inch -- and as an article at the UK's 'Mail Online' points out, even the best Russian Military subs can only withstand a paltry 1,600 lbs per square inch. To get to the deepest point on the planet, Cameron will utilize a state of the art personal submarine far different than the Trieste -- the first manned vehicle to explore the same area of the ocean floor.. The modern sub will look like something straight out of a science-fiction film -- complete with a huge resin bubble for viewing the outside world and motors that will power it along in the stillness of the deep. Avatar Sequel: Cameron to Film 7 Miles Below Ocean's Surface
Only two people have ever visited the deepest point in the ocean. If James Cameron has his way, that list is about to get a lot longer.
Latest Video of 'Avatar 2

Cameron has reportedly commissioned a special submarine that can go down seven miles below the ocean's surface as part of his plans for a sequel to Avatar. The movie will be set in the oceans of the film's fictional alien planet of Pandora.
Honestly, this sounds more like a parody of James Cameron's grandiose filmmaking style than a serious report, but rumor has it he aims to film parts of the Avatar sequel in the Marianas Trench. That trench, located in the Pacific Ocean, is seven miles below the ocean surface, making it the deepest point on Earth. Cameron has reportedly commissioned a company to make the specially reinforced submarine he will need to head down there, and the report indicates this is all part of the sequel's greater focus on Pandora's ocean life. That does at least fit with James Cameron's previous statements that he will be exploring the oceans in the sequel.

Daniel Covington has killed by a shotter

Daniel Covington, a former Former LOUISVILLE Cardinal, was shot and killed in Louisville early Thursday morning, ESPN reported.
The 23-year-old former defensive back was shot at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police who responded to shots fired in downtown Louisville. He was pronounced dead at around 3:00 a.m. with gunshot wounds to his chest and left arm, Rita Taylor, a deputy Jefferson County, Kentucky coroner said.
Police said Covington, who was driving with a passenger, was shot after a confrontation with two men in another car at a city stoplight. Police have interviewed the shooter, who wasn't identified, but they haven't filed charges. You have a right to protect yourself in your home, and that extends to your vehicle, too, I believe," Louisville police Lt. Barry Wilkerson said.
Covington was a former football player at Lexington's Tates Creek High School. He played two seasons at safety for the Cardinals, finishing second on the team with 66 tackles in 2008 and collecting 20 tackles in 10 games in 2009.
Just a couple of hours after Covington's death, his family welcomed Josephine Danielle Covington. The baby, named for her deceased uncle, is the daughter of Covington's older brother, Virgil Covington III, and Paulynn Covington of Lexington.
"I don't know what to feel," said Daniel Covington's older sister, Rebecca Covington, an actress based in Brooklyn, N.Y."We're not drowning in sorrow. We're in disbelief, but we're in belief that God is in control," she said of her brother's death. "We have moments, but we're OK."Rebecca Covington said Daniel Covington had been working in Louisville. He had aspirations to play in the NFL.
She said she talked to him almost every day, and he had just sent her a copy of his biography for her to proofread.
"He was just such a hard worker. Everything he did, he did 100 percent," Rebecca Covington said. "I was really proud of him. I can't believe I'm talking in the past tense."
Rebecca Covington said that she, Daniel and their brother Virgil were very close, and the three of them often talked together on Skype.
The trio grew up at Lexington's Main Street Baptist Church.
"There are so many times that Daniel would send me a devotional or I would send Daniel a devotional," she said.
Whether he was playing video games or at a karaoke bar, "he was the life of every situation he was in," she added. "His spirit was so much bigger than himself. He was amazing."
Former Tates Creek football coach Mark Willoughby, who coached the 2004 all-city defensive back, remembered Covington as a "dedicated football player, a good kid, an enthusiastic kid who was full of life.
"He walked on at Louisville and hung on and hung on until he was a starter. That was pretty typical of him. He could be told 'no,' but he would work his way up until it was 'yes.'"
Wilkerson, the Louisville police lieutenant, said Covington and his passenger had tracked down the car of the gunman after an earlier altercation.
"We believe something may have been said," Wilkerson said.
The shooter told police he fired one shot after he and his passenger were pummeled by a man who lunged through an open car window, Wilkerson said.
"They said he was pretty far inside the vehicle," Wil kerson said.
The bullet appeared to have gone through the passenger's hand before striking the assailant in the chest, police said. Officers found Covington wounded across the street a short time later, Wilkerson said.
The shooter and his passenger were pulled over by officers a short time later, headed for University Hospital, Wilkerson said. Both had injuries to their faces, Wilkerson said.
In addition to his sister, his brother and sister-in-law and his niece, Daniel Covington is survived by his mother, Donna Covington of Nicholasville, and his father, Virgil Covington Jr. of Georgetown, an educator, who was formerly principal of Lexington's Winburn Middle School.

Tom Brady Praised Jets Fans in Order to Criticize Patriots Fans

Here's the full quote from the Providence Journal, in response to a question about the challenges of playing at the New Meadowlands Stadium: "The Meadowlands is always a tough place to play. The road environment is very different than our friendly home crowd, who, when I looked up, half the stadium was gone when we were up 21 points early fourth quarter, which I wasn't so happy about. But I don't think the Jets fans leave early. They're going to be loud the whole game." Technically, the only short-term way to properly compare the two would involve the Jets opening up a 21-point lead early in the fourth quarter on Sunday, so get to work, Brian Schottenheimer.
The NFL quarterback who led the league last weekend in big-play passes — those 25 yards or longer — wasn't Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or the other usual suspects. It was Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton, who tossed five such completions in Sunday's opener at Jacksonville.

Go figure that the Broncos, with a quarterback who only a year ago had fans and experts wondering about his arm strength and who is without the supposed big-play receiver, may be evolving into a downfield offense.

"We feel like we've found some things that we really want to take advantage of in that area that has nothing to do with who we're playing, really," coach Josh McDaniels JACKSONVILLE, FL - SEPTEMBER 12: Aaron Kampman #74 of the Jacksonville Jaguars pressure Kyle Orton #8 of the Denver Broncos during the NFL season opener game at EverBank Field on September 12, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Of Orton's five long completions, three were bona fide long throws — of 41, 27 and 25 yards each, all to Brandon Lloyd. Two others, a 28-yarder to tight end Daniel Graham and a 25-yarder to Eddie Royal, were shorter throws with significant yards after the catch.
But consider that in four games last year, Orton didn't have even one 25-yard completion. In two additional games, he had no completions of longer than 30 yards.
"I hope it spreads the field, I hope it opens other things up for us, but that's certainly an area of the field that we've talked a lot about in the offseason and trying to make them defend the whole field, rather than just half of it," Orton said.
The trend hasn't materialized out of nowhere. The Broncos' first offensive play in their first preseason game this year was a 31-yard completion down the left seam to receiver Jabar Gaffney.
No, the team hasn't tossed its playbook full of bubble screens, but the Broncos already have shown they won't rely on them this year.
"I don't know the difference of why or whatever. This is the team we have right now and we think it's the best way to go about it with our team this year," Orton said. "We've got a

versatile group of wide receivers that can do a lot of different things, and so far when they've been given a chance to make a play downfield, they've done a good job of making it."
McDaniels, who calls the offensive plays, can point to specific reasons for the evolution of the team's offense.
It starts with Orton, who in his second season feels far more comfortable with every page of the playbook, as well as with the receivers.
Gaffney, Lloyd, Royal and Graham are holdovers from a year ago, yet each expects to see more passes with the departure of Brandon Marshall, who had nearly twice as many catches (101) than the No. 2 receiver last year — Gaffney (54). And despite Marshall's reputation of being a big-play receiver, he averaged only 11.1 yards per catch last season.
The Broncos believe Lloyd has the potential to make more plays in the middle or deep end of the field, and he showed it with his five-catch, 117-yard performance against Jacksonville. The Broncos are also hoping rookie Demaryius Thomas, when he returns from a foot injury that has kept him sidelined, will add a downfield dimension with his size and strength. Thomas practiced without any limitations again Thursday and could make his debut Sunday against Seattle.
"I think you take into consideration the personnel that you are playing with and their skill sets and what they do well," McDaniels said. "Then, you try to branch out and use more of those things this year than maybe you did last year.
"Every year I've called plays it's been a different style — there have been different skill players, different linemen, things that the quarterback does better from one year to the next, whatever it may be, and then there's always the evolution of finding new thing.
